You probably gave access to selected photos only. To change it, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Copyrighted on your iPhone or iPad and choose Full Access, or manage the selection from within the app. With limited access, stamped copies are still saved, but without the Copyrighted album, because Photos doesn't allow an app to create albums then.

Photos doesn't let any app change a library photo's metadata in place. So Copyrighted saves a stamped copy, named after the original (such as IMG_4471-cr.JPG), in an album called Copyrighted, and leaves the original untouched. Choose how copies are named under Settings › Stamped copies. If you don't want both, Settings has an option, off by default, to delete an original once its copy is verified.

That is by design. RAW and DNG files are never written. Your copyright goes into an XMP sidecar file with the same name next to each RAW, such as DSC_0412.xmp. Keep the sidecars with their RAW files when you copy or back them up. RAW photos in the Photos library can be read but not stamped.

Before writing, the app checks each photo again. If a photo's copyright changed since you last saw it, for example because another app edited it, the app holds it back so it never overwrites something it didn't read. Open the photo or its group to read it again, check what it now says, and apply again.

The results say why. Common reasons: the photo's original is only in iCloud and isn't on the device; the file is a camera JPEG with maker data that can't be carried through a rewrite; the file is read-only or can't be written safely; or the photo is Conflicting and you chose Add missing. Use Update for conflicting photos.

When you stamp a photo through Add Copyright in the Photos share sheet, Photos doesn't tell the extension which library photo it came from. The stamped copy is therefore dated today and has no location. Stamp from inside the app instead, from Overview or a group, and the copy keeps the original's date, place and favourite.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought with. If Pro came through Family Sharing, make sure purchase sharing is on for your family group. The share sheet and Messages extensions learn about Pro from the app, so open Copyrighted once after buying or restoring.

The free allowance is 50 different photos per device. Settings › Your stamps shows how many are used. Photos you already stamped can be stamped again for free, and removing copyright is always free. To stamp more, unlock Copyrighted Pro.

Open History, choose the batch and tap Undo. Each file goes back to what it said before. For copies saved to Photos, undo deletes the copies, and Photos asks you once to confirm; if you decline, the copies stay where they are. A photo whose conflict was resolved by the batch can't be put back into conflict, so undo skips it and says so.

Open Copyrighted once first. Then, in the share sheet, scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More to add Add Copyright, and scroll the list of actions to the end and tap Edit Actions to add Copyright Info. On a Mac, check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions.

Messages can hold on to the previous version of an iMessage app after an update. Force-quit Messages and open it again, and Copyrighted will load normally.
